Data modeling in the product and variants forms

Modified on Tue, 12 May at 4:50 PM

  • All products must have at least one category assigned.
  • A product with variants becomes a Variable product. If the product has no variations, product data remains as a Simple product.
  • The variants of the same product must have the exact attributes completed, with different values.
  • To synchronize a product with variants, synchronized attributes will be labeled as Used for variants. Then, the values of products and variants will be combined and assigned to the product. Variants can only have one value for each product. The attribute of the variant must be created in the WooCommerce plugin.
  • Deleting a category does not delete the products in that category. Instead, products that only had the deleted category assigned to them are assigned to the Uncategorized category.
  • Deleting image attributes in products or categories does not delete them in the WooCommerce plugin. This process must be done manually in WooCommerce.
