This option creates a separate Parent row for products that have associated variants.
Why marketplaces require this
Some marketplaces demand the Parent row because:
- It defines the Parent SKU.
- It groups all variants under a single product.
- It ensures correct product listing hierarchy.
What the connector generates after enabling this
For a product with 3 variants, the output becomes:
- Parent row: SKU SHIRT-001, Type Parent, no variant attributes.
- Child rows: SHIRT-001-BL-M (Child), SHIRT-001-BL-L (Child), and SHIRT-001-RD-M (Child).
Important notes
- Parent rows contain no values for variant-only fields, such as size or color.
- Parent rows are not repeated for standalone products.
- Formulas like IS_FUSION_VARIANT_PARENT() work only when this parameter is active.
