Limitations

  • API limit rates: BigCommerce has API request limits that vary according to the plan level. Check the following link to see the current limits.



  • The connector does not offer different features based on the customer's account type in Sales Layer. Regarding API rate limits, the connector also does not provide different features based on the customer's account type in BigCommerce.
  • Error reporting: the reports of each synchronization include up to 500 error messages. After that amount, further messages are discarded.


Performance


  • The connector does retrieve items from the Sales Layer API in an organized manner.
  • When the Multi-storefront feature is activated in BigCommerce, it is not recommended to synchronize more than 25,000 items.
  • The connector discards items for synchronization based on the comparison of data hashes, which are alphanumeric codes that identify items.


Functional limitations


  • It is not possible to schedule connector synchronization.
  • The connector is one way. Information is synchronized from Sales Layer to BigCommerce. Reverse data synchronization is not supported.
  • The connector exports information in a single language because BigCommerce only supports one language.
  • The connector does not support sending metafields.
  • The connector does not ensure support for mapping fields created by third parties. Currently, Sales Layer is collaborating with ShipperHQ.
  • Each synchronization report includes up to 500 error messages. Beyond that number, additional messages are discarded.
  • BigCommerce has a limit of 600 variants per product.
  • It is not possible to order custom fields.
